We are pleased to announce that LendIt is expanding to China and will host its inaugural Internet finance conference in Shanghai on July 19-20, 2014.
The conference will be entitled the Bund Summit. LendIt will co-host along with the Shanghai Finance Institute, a non-profit Chinese think tank that is dedicated to promoting Shanghai as a leading international financial center. The conference will cover the impact of Internet finance on the economy. We have already confirmed many powerful and high profile speakers from Chinese government and industry including:
We are particularly excited about this conference for three reasons:
Networking: This will be an incredible opportunity to network with many of the top financial leaders and regulators in China. We recommend that you make this an annual visit, beginning this July with our inaugural conference, in order to develop long term relationships with your counterparts in China.
Free Trade: the Chinese government has recently relaxed restrictions on Chinese investment capital, loosening the reins on the flow of capital into and out of China. In September 2013, Shanghai created the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, which is the first free trade zone in inland China. Among other things, it enables foreign investment firms to establish a presence in China to facilitate the flow of capital in and out of China. Our conference will have an entire track dedicated to the Shanghai Free Trade Zone that will feature the creators and overseers of the Zone.
We will also co-host an optional 5 day private tour from July 21-25 in Shanghai and Beijing with the Strontium Group and Fudan University. Over five days we will meet with leadership from University Incubators, Outbound Investment Officers, and Government Investment Funds. This is an excellent opportunity to maximize your time in China especially if you are looking to raise capital, build partnerships in innovation, or invest in the Chinese market.
We would be honored to have you join us as an attendee, nominate a speaker, sponsor the event, or participate in our private tour. We look forward to seeing you in Shanghai!
